Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork

Are you one of the many people who want a little relief from the aches and pains of everyday life but cant seem to get relief from over the counter medications. You may be looking in the wrong isle or possibly even in the wrong place. As the world gets bigger and expands so goes the world of Medicine. Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork is the new in for the ERA of medical exploration. Therapeutic Massage is a way to allow your body to help itself over time. It requires no over the counter medications that can leave you drowsy in the morning, or upset stomach at night before bed. Instead it is an alternative way of medicine used to help your body heal naturally. Many insurance carriers such as BC/BS distinguish this type of rehabilitative medicine as useful and pay 50% of the cost but you need to check with your insurance to see if it is covered. It can help relieve muscle aches and pains, neck, back and other parts of your body. It appears to be growing and expanding as it becomes more readily recognized by society as a better way to heal your body from the inside out. I believe in this type of body work as I am a returning patron of one Therapeutic Massage Practitioner here in Connecticut. Whether you live 10 miles or 50 miles away it is definitely worth the trip or two to check out the work he does. Please understand as with all medical practices, the work that is done is not 100% guaranteed to correct or fix all problems of the body. It's main purpose is to provide you with a safer way of helping you to relax your body so that it can heal itself.

Civil War ReEnactment

If you ever wonder what its like to be part of the Wild Wild West you don't need to travel far. Most re-enactment events happen in the mid to late summer into the fall season. Here in Connecticut you can witness history relived for a few dollars on the penny. Enjoy the ambiance of the days past come to life. The history tellers on site and the re-enactors make the event fun for all ages. Woodbury Connecticut held a historical re-enactment of the Civil War the weekend of August 15, 2009. There were many things to see along with Militia riding into battle, you could see the smoke from the cannons and the guns as they fired on the enemy. Alongside the infantry were the riders who accompanied the generals. You could get your photo taken on a tin type of material. Very authentic for the period. One could even walk up to the Wheel driven carriages to see them first hand, not to mention the ability to walk around the encampments to visit the soldiers.
